Big Fish, Little Fish is a way for swimmers from all three of our swim groups (Dolphins, Group II & Group I) to get to know each other, cheer each other on, and help each other become better swimmers for our whole FINS team.

Our Big Fish, Little Fish Swim Schools will help promote team bonding outside of the usual groups that swim together every day. Fun little ‘events’ will be held after practices throughout the year to encourage swim schools to continue to bond and get to know more about each other. These are usually fun & engaging activities accompanied by a little treat for everyone.

Here are a few suggestions to do with your Swim School Members:

• Introduce yourself: Name, age, group, where you go to school & your favorite stroke
• Make a point to speak to your Swim School mates on the pool deck any time you are there
• Find out if the fish in your group are swimming at the next swim meet
• Cheer them on at the meets & have a warm down together
• Make posters and signs for each other
• Offer to answer questions to help them be a better swimmer
• Give small gifts of good luck before a meet, for a birthday or holiday: candy, cards, drinks, etc.
• Share stories of your first meet or the first time you made a mistake
• Laugh, have fun and get to know each person in your group – younger and older
